ANIRUDH “AP” PADURU
AP is the Key Manager of Smart Grid and Innovation at BGE. In his ten years with BGE, he has led different departments such as the Substation Engineer, Reliability Program, and Emergent Technology. He is currently responsible for setting up and implementing BGE’s various innovation strategies. He also funds several research and development programs and works closely with them.
His group serves as an incubator for new and emerging technologies. As a result of his leadership, BGE launched the first official drone (UAS) team within all of Exelon Utilities during 2019.
Currently, he is incubating an Advanced Data Sciences group to help shift his company towards more data-driven decisions.
AP has a Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering and a Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering. Furthermore, he has completed executive courses at MIT Sloan School of Management, Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, and the University of Notre Dame. He is also a graduate of Leadership Howard County (Leadership Premier class of 2021).
