Jasmine Sonpar is a senior at Mount Hebron High School. She is the intern for Sobar Connections, the monthly newsletter, dealing with all matters related to the paper. 

Jasmine grew up going to Alcoholic Anonymous meetings with her mother, and was inspired by those in recovery. There she learned about the importance of choice, and how being in recovery is hard – especially in our society, which often equates drinking alcohol as being a core part of adult life.
