Karen Isailovic is an abstract artist and strategic leader passionate about fostering wellness through the transformative power of art. She serves as the IT Director for Second Story, a nonprofit in its fifth decade, dedicated to ensuring that teens and young mothers have a safe, nurturing environment and the opportunity to reach their
full potential. 
 

With a career spanning business management, systems analysis, healthcare operations, and IT, Karen has successfully led initiatives to modernize technology systems, enhance collaboration, and strengthen security protocols. She is also
the former owner of Prime Corporation and founder of Root Studio, bringing extensive experience in entrepreneurship, organizational leadership, and creative innovation.

With over two decades of continuous sobriety, Karen is honored to serve on the board of Sobar, whose mission aligns with her passion for inclusivity. She is a strong advocate for expanding sophisticated non-alcoholic drink options at social gatherings, events, and restaurants, believing a shift toward responsible drinking and
a vibrant alcohol-free lifestyle is long overdue.

Karen enjoys outings with her two young-adult daughters, live music, outdoor adventures, and gardening and considers herself a lifelong learner. She is especially interested in neuroarts, exploring how creativity supports mental health, resilience, and human connection.
