Sober since 2007, Laura is the founder of Zero Proof Nation and Booze Free in DC, two platforms focused on highlighting non-alcoholic beverages and the culture driving their growth.

 

In March 2023, she judged at the inaugural World Alcohol Free Awards in London, tasting over 200 unique alcohol-free beverages in two days. Laura has given collegiate and conference lectures on non-alcoholic beverages and inclusive hospitality, two areas of deep passion and advocacy that she is proud to bring to Sobar's certification program.

 

Laura recently was honored with the “Leader and Innovator of the Year” award from Sans Bar Academy, a non-alcoholic industry incubator. She also serves as Adult Non-Alcoholic Drinks Industry Advisor to The Spearhead Group, an innovative physical brand enhancement and packaging company in the beverage space.

 

When not on the karaoke stage, she is frequently sought after as a subject matter expert by publications such as Wine Enthusiast, Forbes, America’s Test Kitchen, and the BBC.
