Tim started his insurance career in 1985 with The Reliance Insurance Company. Thoroughly trained in all aspects of Underwriting, Claims and Loss Control, he then served as an Underwriting Assistant in the Large Accounts Unit. In December 1987, Tim was given an opportunity to join the independent agency system where he has served since that time.

 

Tim has served the non-profit, association, technology, and construction sector over many years. He has also served on various local Boards, worked with insurance carriers on policy language and wording, as well as public speaking engagements at various local and national industry events. Tim has enjoyed a very close relationship with both insurance company personnel and industry experts over the years, which has complemented his overall client approach and delivery.

Tim lives in Woodbine, MD with his wife Heather (married 32 years) and daughter McKenna (20) soon to be married in November 2024. Tim’s oldest daughter, Madeline Spencer, lives in Sykesville, MD with her husband of five years, Jake.
